Not every Princeton student makes it back to Reunions. During the Second World War, many graduates went directly to Europe or the Pacific to fight. Those students who lost their lives are commemorated with bronze stars on the windowsills of their former dorm rooms.
James Lee '43 was an economics major who lived in Laughlin Hall and wrote his senior thesis on "Government and Cotton." He might have celebrated his 65th Reunion this year.
