Why is it that whenever I ask anyone if they are hosting, they say something like, "No! I never host pre-frosh!"

As the parent of a pre-frosh, I can say that it is better for people to decline hosting students if they are not keen about it than to be a reluctant host who is rude, which is what my son got. The host essentially said, "You're on your own and don't bug me until the wee hours of the a.m. when I return from what I am doing." A very disappointing experience.
