Orszag '91 and Volcker '49 Attend Global Cooling Conference

The power broker elite attending the Bilderberg conference in Sitges, Spain this June gave global warming the cold shoulder. It was pretty much Reunions again at the conference during which "Global Cooling" was featured as a main presentation.

Paul Volcker '49, Chairman of the Fed under Carter and Reagan, Peter Orszag '91, President Obama's former Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Bing West GS '67, author and Asst. Secretary for Defense under Reagan, Richard Holbrooke GS '70, American diplomat, Eric Lander '78 and valedictorian, and former faculty member James A. Johnson all attended the invite-only ~130 member meeting. The issue of global cooling appeared on the recently released agenda.

According to the press release, "The Conference will deal mainly with Financial Reform, Security, Cyber Technology, Energy, Pakistan, Afghanistan, World Food Problem, Global Cooling, Social Networking, Medical Science, EU-US relations."

We have much to fear. What if global cooling races from behind to clinch the prize for most marketable environmental fiasco? What if all that carbon we actively avoided emitting was for naught? I just hope someone lets me know if I should start dying my green shirts blue.

It is good to hear that someone up there is willing to have an adult conversation on climate change.

For that matter the Bilderbergs seam so much more reasonable when they just say who they are and what they are discussing.

I too was a little confused at the global cooling mention.

It would be interesting to know what the general jist was. Part of me wonders if by "global cooling", they mean commercial opportunities to mitigate CO2. Ie storage of CO2 underground or more efficient technology.
