Spots in new 'fluffy' course fill up fast

It may be the “fluffiest-sounding course” offered this spring, but AAS 314/COM 396: Model Memoirs: The Life Stories of International Fashion Models is already closed thanks to 15 fast-clicking (read: lucky) seniors.

The course has been much talked about on and off campus since the release of the spring course catalog, sparking discussion on the Huffington Post, Jezebel and EqualWrites.

Despite engendering some criticism in the blogosphere, comparative literature professor Wendy Belcher’s research on diaspora and non-Western literature suggests that the seminar’s discussions of race, gender, culture and class may prove to be worthwhile.

What about the English class on "Children's Literature"? That already has over 200 people, and that's only including seniors! Actually I sort of detest that as an English major...it seems like a lot of second semester seniors are looking for a fluffy LA, and anyone truly interested in the subject might get lost in the shuffle.

no, anyone truly interested in the course will receive an A, because the rest of us are PDF-ing.
